Arnica and Meadowsweet are both well known for their ability to reduce pain and swelling in tissue. Arnica is nicknamed the "aches and pains herb" while Meadowsweet is frequently called "herbal aspirin". The compounds naturally occurring in meadowsweet  were studied in the 1800's to help develop aspirin. This combination of herbs is perfect for aiding in minor injuries with bruising, swelling and pain. 
**This salve contains naturally-derived salicylic acid (the natural form of the chemical that is in aspirin). Do not use it if you have an aspirin allergy or are taking aspirin or a product containing aspirin on a regular basis.
